A Program of Astronomy Research on the Moon and its Logistics Implications
نویسندگان
چکیده
This study concerns itself with one aspect of possible post-Apollo space activity -a pro gram of astronomical research on the moon that culminates in the establishment of a lunar observatory. A mathematical model is utilized to analyze the logistics implications of conducting such an astronomical research program. The na ture of the research equipment needed for the ac complishment of the program is outlined. Super position of this research program upon a basic long-term lunar-base operations plan tentatively indicates that it could be feasible to conduct such a program of research during the 1970's and 1980's well within the constraints imposed by the logistics of presently planned spacecraft, boost ers, and launching facilities. Although the best available numbers were used, the present study is viewed more as an exposition of a methodology than as the establishment of a conclusive result.

Astronomy and its rules always have had a significant position in Iran history. One of the significant and main functions of astronomy was to inform about the future. Such a feature has made kings pay more attention to it. Among Safavid kings (907-1135), especially in Abbas the Great period (996-1038), astronomy had special importance. The main issue of the research is what effects had the astr...
متن کاملVoltage-Controlled Entanglement between Quantum- Dot Molecule and its Spontaneous Emission Fields via Quantum Entropy
The time evolution of the quantum entropy in a coherently driven threelevel quantum dot (QD) molecule is investigated. The entanglement of quantum dot molecule and its spontaneous emission field is coherently controlled by the gat voltage and the intensity of applied field. It is shown that the degree of entanglement between a three-level quantum dot molecule and its spontaneous emission fields...

To prepare for the return of humans to the Moon by 2020 and the eventual human exploration of Mars, it is important to gain a better understanding of the logistical requirements for living, working, and exploring on the surface of another planet. Given humanity’s limited experience with human planetary surface research (i.e., the Apollo missions), high fidelity simulations in analogue environme...
